The Document Freedom Day team supports worldwide activities. The organisation of the international campaign costs money. Beside that we want to support local groups who do not have enough money themselves. Your donation enables groups worldwide to run events. The Free Software Foundation Europe processes donations on behalf of the campaign, and is a registered non-profit charity. Beginning from 50 Euro, you can be listed as a sponsor.

Ways of donating

Online payment

Bank transfer

Donations can also be wired from anywhere in the world to the following accounts:

Free Software Foundation Europe e.V.
Subject: Donation DFD
IBAN: DE69 3602 0030 0003 0047 32
National-Bank Essen, Steinstraße 13, 40212 Dusseldorf, Germany

What happens next

If you donate more than 50 Euro, we offer you to add your name to our sponsors list. However, we will only list your name, no link. Also be aware that this is for individuals only, not for companies or any other organisation. Instead, they can go for Bronze, Silver or Gold Sponsor.

For online donations, you can use the checkbox "I want to remain anonymous" to indicate whether or not being listed there is ok with you. If you send your donation by bank transfer, please contact us about this.

In some countries donations can be deducted from income tax. Currently, this is the case in Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
